I read book #6 without reading the others. And it was perfectly fine because this book can definitely standalone. So click on it and dive right in. If you like alpha males and female leads that aren't submissive, then Beneath series would be for you. Although this was strictly Eden and Bishop's story, you do get plenty of interaction from previous characters to know these women are STRONG. Eden- a sheltered girl that just wants to be on her own. But yet every time she attempts to step out and do something independent, fate has plans to mess with her. And in swoops tattooed, grumpy Bishop to save her. When Eden finally convinces Bishop that she isn't made of glass, whoa baby, sparks fly. Meghan March's book always deliver entertainment. Not high on drama or angst. But definitely lots of fun fantasy to entertain your erotic read needs. I plan on back reading the series because there were characters I definitely wanted to know more about. 4 out of 5 stars This free ARC was provided by the author/ publisher in exchange for an unbiased opinion. Every time I start to put down roots, I rip them up. Until New Orleans. Until her. She's everything I'm not. Full of fire and life. An innocent where I'm a sinner. I want to consume her. Protect her. Only one more book to go and I'm feeling kind of sad to see them go. Both Eden and Bishop came out of nowhere as you hadn't heard much of anything about them in the previous books. But you got to revisit all the previous couples and that was a pretty awesome flashback. I love the narrators, they do a really good job with these books. This book makes me want to visit New Orleans and makes me terrified of it at the same time lol. ( )
