I am a practicing Catholic, and felt a strong desire to see if I could spark more interest in Jesus and His life and teachings. When my husband and I spent 45 minutes a day walking for exercise, I would be praying the rosary and meditating on the various mysteries as I walked. During these meditations, I began to visualize how it would feel to be actually present at some of the events mentioned in the Bible and the mysteries of the rosary. With this inspiration, I began to write my book last year. I have a very strong desire to make Jesus more real, especially to young people. I hope and pray that this little book will help them to do just that. Dorothy Frisby was born, raised and educated in Omaha, Nebraska. She is the mother of four grown children, six grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. Most of Dorothy's career life has been in the field of computers. She entered the field in B.C. days (Before Computers), and lived through all generations of computers. This meant that her life was a constant learning process, as the computers became obsolete very shortly after they were purchased. During the bulk of those years, she was in middle and upper management. For years, Dorothy worked as a Technical Writer for various companies, as well as doing freelance work. This required her to work with computer programmers and then translate what they did down to simple instructions for mainly computer non-literate users. In the final years of her career, Dorothy began creating documents for use on-line, and designed the layouts and formats for each instructional manual. Retired in 2001, Dorothy is currently enjoying her quiet country life with her husband, Charles, and their cat, Okay.
