This is the story of a giraffe that other animals mistakes for a chair. He has to work up the courage to tell the others he is not a chair. This would be a great story for younger children but the message behind the story is great for any age. ( )

I am not a chair is about a young giraffe who is mistaken for a chair amongst his jungle friends. No matter what it does it seems like he cannot convince them he is not a chair until the very end of the book. This book was filled with humor and the pictures on the page were well drawn and colorful. I would use this book to talk about different animals I see and sounds that they make for Pre-K. It could also be used to just entertain as well. ( )

This is a great book for younger students, maybe even during the first week of school. The book talks about a giraffe and how he is upset that everyone thinks he is a chair. He gained the courage to stand up for himself to the other animals and tell them that he is not a chair. I love this book because there are students who are scared to speak up or don't know how to. This is great for the younger students to learn that it is good to speak up and find courage. ( )
