This final volume has the conclusion of "The Seal of the red ram" along with an offshoot story, a horror version of "Sleeping Beauty". The Red Ram story as a whole really helped to explain some of the relationships which are further visited in the "Godchild" series, particularly the one between Cain, Mary Weather and Oscar (who is a bit of an odd duck) and Jizabel and Kazeem. I did find it gratifying to learn that Cain was capable of love, even if it is of the tragic nature, and I did like Meridiana as a character. The manga-ka mentioned that many people didn't really like Meridiana but I felt quite bad for her. Her character did become stronger at the end and I think that's why I liked her as much as I did.

Overall this volume explained a lot that I hadn't even realized I had missed in "Godchild" and I'm happy to have caught up on the background. ( )
