It had some very humorous moments that made me laugh a little out loud and definitely kept me smiling. Forecast shows us the intricacies of the weatherman business. When a popular weatherman, Drew Henderson, injures himself, there is a quick scramble to find a replacement until he is back on his feet. A producer stumbles upon Rowie Shakespeare (yes, kin to THAT Shakespeare) who happens to be psychic and can predict the weather. Rowie also has a slew of other talents that also include knowing a mans life once she kisses him. Only thing is Rowie can't see Drew's future. They quickly fall in love with each other only to wind up in one misunderstanding after another. There is also several offset romances, including Rowie's mom and grandmother, her best friends, and even her dead grandfather. Nothing is taboo in this book, and the world of Rowie is open for all. It's a pretty magical book. I do recommend for a quick read. sem críticas | adicionar uma crítica

Gifted with magical abilities, which she considers a curse, Rowie is much happier bringing together the people she knows are a perfect match instead of finding romance for herself, until she meets the one man whose future she cannot foresee. Não foram encontradas descrições de bibliotecas. |

It took me a little while to get into this book, because there didn’t seem to be much happening. There was a lot of character establishment, but not a great detail of movement. But I was ultimately rewarded as the pace picks up a lot after Rowie gets her TV forecaster job. Plus, there are many subplots that weave their way through, mainly concerning the happiness of Rowie’s family. The subplot with Jess, a colleague of Drew and Rowie’s, was a little mixed for me – does she deserve punishment for her misdeeds? Or is she simply confused? In the end, everyone got their happily ever after.
The tone of the novel is sweet and warm. It’s an easy read after all the characters are established – they’re predominantly quirky, fun and looking for companionship and love. The scenes in the family shop are genuinely heart-warming – a palm reader who softens the blow and a life saved are just some of the things that go on. Plus, everyone in this book gets their happily ever after – what more could a romance fan want?
