IvX was... surprisingly good? I don't know what I was expecting per se... or, well, I do. AvX was so drastically one-sided. The X-Men were right and the Avengers were dicks and caused the entire mess that then had to be cleaned up. This one though, it was actually legitimately complicated with logic and ambiguity and complexity on both sides and I really enjoyed it!

And! All the tie-ins were relevant and interesting and expanded on the story in fun and interesting ways (barring a few small "that character definitely wasn't at that battle" art inconsistencies at places).

Now specifics, it seems like the X-teams for this event decided to do a series of one-shots for these tie-ins, each following different X-Men and their exploits during the big events of IvX. And honestly? They were all great! I don't totally remember which ones were where, so we're not gonna get specific, except for the Epilogue issues, but yeah, all great. The UXM epilogue is... fine? It was a long time coming, and executed well, but not nearly as emotionally resonant as the other two. ( )

Meh. Probably my least favourite of the tie-ins from IvX. But then this whole run wasn't great. I spent a lot of time in the entire run confused as to what was going on. I liked the final issue (not the annual) with Magneto and Psylocke and the Annual story with Exlir. ( )
