Beautiful, smart, successful people who meet cute and fall madly in love while eating a lot of junk food and having a ton of sex. There's some slight depth thrown in from time to time about racial issues (she's black and he's white) and old family drama with her sister plus he's a pediatric surgeon so there are some brushes with sick children but really 99% of this is them being hot for each other. Which is pretty much fine by me in my current headspace. Excellent beach book, airplane book, "having a bad day need to zone out" book. I don't think it's trying to be anything else and it succeeds at what it is.
