Stadelmann is an associate professor of poli sci at a university in Texas. the book is well written and researched giving all necessary elements of a “Dummies” book. I love reading these books! They are wonderful for understanding difficult topics and also great for refreshing your memory with topics you are familiar with such as who’s who in U.S. Presidents. The author gave his opinion throughout even ranking best and worst presidents. He gave a well thought out opinion and the reader is aware of this bias. This book and other “dummies” books like it are best read with other resources as sides. In this case I read “Presidents:All You Need to Know” by Carter Smith and Hylas Publishing. This book gives far too much detail for me to read, but it gives a bigger picture (literally as it has full color pictures) of the Presidents story. These two books will be taken off shelves often. Te problem with these books is that you gain so much info so quickly that much is confused with the last president you just read about. I need lots more in this area. But this makes a good start.
