I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Perhaps not as much as her first ([b:Too Lucky to Live|34078713|Too Lucky to Live|Annie Hogsett|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1486726673s/34078713.jpg|55089533]), but still quite worth the time.
The short chapters lend themselves to making this a quick read. As does the writing style.
One thing that slowed it down for me at times was the dialog. There were occasionally long sections of dialog when a character finishes a paragraph and then continues on with a new paragraph. The omission of the last double-quotes was a fairly reliable clue that we stayed with the same speaker, but it wasn't always enough of a visual indicator and I frequently found myself wondering who was speaking.
