This is more than a Thanksgiving book. It's a book that introduces children to all different aspects of school--plays, principal, the sports team, etc. That was a fun thing I didn't see coming. Children will love the hilarity with which our turkey friend tries to avoid being in the school play!

This story is told in first person about a thanksgiving play where they, a turkey, escape from the a cage on the stage! The turkey is chased all around the school until, the turkey runs back into the play and performed for the school successfully!

This book is told from the perspective of a turkey who was meant to be in a school play about Thanksgiving, except he was nervous to be on stage. The turkey then ran all around the school, through various classrooms and spaces being chased by students and the principal. He realized the only place left was the stage, so he found confidence and went out there. This book is great to teach students confidence and that you should not run away from your fears, but rather face them. ( )

This book was a really good read aloud. It was used for a first grade class the week before thanksgiving. This story was really funny and cute. The children loved it. I would definitely read this again to a kindergarten, first, or second grade class. ( )
