A boy who went to new york city's famous Hayden Planetarium became curious about outer space. He bought a big telescope that would allow him to explore galaxies, planets, and so much more. At a young age, he won a scholarship and got paid to give an astrology lecture. He enjoyed learning and sharing what he learned. Because of his curiosity about outer space, Neil deGrasse Tyson became an astrophysicist. ( )

Neil discovered his love for space during his first trip to the Hayden Planetarium. From then on, Neil was head over heels for astronomy. He read everything he could about space and even started walking his neighborhood dogs to earn money to buy a telescope. Neil won a scholarship to travel to view a total solar eclipse and was paid fifty dollars to give an astronomy lecture at the age of fifteen. This made Neil realize that he could make a living talking about what he loves. Neil became a teacher, researcher, writer, and even scored a job at the Hayden Planetarium, the very place that Neil discovered his love for space! This is a great story about a boy who finds his passion for astrology and grows that passion as he grows older. ( )

I love space! I always have! I cant even explain how much I love space! As a kid it was the only thing in science class that interested me and the only thing I didn't really have to study for because I liked it so much. This book was cute because it showed how Neil Tyson realized that he loved space as a kid. I feel like I can relate. Astronomy is so cool and I have realized that my little sister is a lot like me and that she likes to learn about space too. I like how in some parts of the book they add in facts about space. Neil says that your mind she be blown at least once a day. My mind was blown by some facts in this book. Outter space is silent. Someone can yell right in your ear and you will not even hear them. That is so cool and crazy to me. I really enjoyed this book. ( )

This book was super cute! I have never heard of Neil DeGrasse Tyson before, so it was interesting to learn about him. When Neil was a boy, he would look out of his window and look at the stars. He fell in love with the stars and the sky. He wanted to learn more, so he started walking dogs to raise money for his own telescope. Of course, he got it, but he got so much more! He would go to the rooftop and look at the magnificent world we have, and he would go to the planetarium, where he originally fell in love with outer space. He ended up with his dream job at the planetarium, and he also was on TV and radio shows for his love for science. He truly is a star! ( )
