Oh my, this rom com is typical Clare London. It's funny, and irreverent. The characters are endearingly imperfect. Thrown into an awkward situation, things only get more awkward as each encounter goes disastrously wrong until you're rooting for the lads to finally get together. ( )

Oh my, this rom com is typical Clare London. It's funny, and irreverent. The characters are endearingly imperfect. Thrown into an awkward situation, things only get more awkward as each encounter goes disastrously wrong until you're rooting for the lads to finally get together. ( )

Clare London is a new-to-me author and I'm glad I had an opportunity to read something by them. At first glance the story seems more like opposites attract, despite the not-entirely-accurate profiles that were created for Ethan and Kel. In reality, it's more a matter of Ethan and Kel having characteristics that mesh well with the other. I liked the idea that no matter how you might be (in Ethan's case, super clumsy) there are people out there who get it and are ok with you for who you are. London packed a lot of character development into the story and did it in a way that had me rooting for Ethan and Kel.

I was a little hesitant on the idea of people signing someone up for something like a dating event, no matter how good their intentions may be. It does work but it seems sneaky and a bit nonconsensual.
