This was an extremely enjoyable mystery. I loved the glamorous locations (like Vienna), the handsome and secretive hero, the mystery of the music box... A terrific Harlequin Intrigue with a classy main couple. ( )

It was very unfortunate but the film adaptation of this book was in my mind a lot while I was reading this. I loved the film version because the story was interesting, the locale was different, and for a Harlequin movie it didn't make me cringe as much.

I wanted to read the original book version to see if I'd like it as much, but I couldn't help comparing the two. Bertie was male and Jordan wasn't related to Kitty. The ending was still the same but moving from the beginning to the ending was different. I'd like to think that I would have enjoyed this book a little more had I not watched the movie first, but...I don't know. The writing didn't really capture my attention so this book was easy to put down. I also had a hard time trying to picture the action sequences. ( )
