ZERO stars

Ehmagawd! This has got to be one of the worst books ever written. I am frankly appalled that so many tweens are reading this drivel. To summarize: Dylan is in Hawaii with her unavailable mother, who has scored an exclusive interview with Svetlana, the star of the Aloha Open. Dylan is obsessed with her weight and with the “hawt” guy (whose father owns the spa resort where the players are staying). She’s whiny, immature, and incredibly brand-conscious. I’m thinking Harrison was being paid per “product placement. ” A number of products – from Pepsi to Louboutin – appear. There’s a brand-name dropped on every page (sometimes three times in one page)!

There are plenty of good quality young adult books, this is not in that category. Do your teens and tweens a favor and steer clear of the Clique series. Buy them a copy of Little Women instead. Or if they must read contemporary fiction try Vintage Veronica or Dairy Queen.

This was a very good book! I thought it was nice to see how the Clique girls are like without each other. These books were shorter and a quick read for me. i recommend these books to girls who really don't like reading that much, but want something fun and enjoyable to read. ( )

DYLAN is the second book in THE CLIQUE SUMMER COLLECTION, and lives up to the reputation of the CLIQUE series.

Dylan and her mom (who is a famous TV personality) travel to Hawaii to interview the world-famous tennis player, Svetlana. Svetlana has recently gotten out of rehab for her anger management issues, and this is her first match and interview since her last incident. Dylan and Svetlana get in a little tiff, but as a Clique member there is no way Svetlana will come out on top -- and with the guy Dylan wants.

Is there?

Dylan is quite the conniver, I must say. This was another great addition to the series as a whole, and I can't wait to read the rest of THE CLIQUE SUMMER COLLECTION! ( )

This is a very good book. I reccomend it to any girl who enjoys a good chick flick. It has romance, sports, girlyness, and anything that a teenage girl loves. Read it now! But read the books in the series that come before it first, so that you don't get too confused. ( )
