The book begins with a bullfrog looking for a mate, and after so the female lays her eggs on the surface of a pond. We see some fish try to eat the eggs, and eventually the remaining eggs form into tadpoles. The tadpoles survive on algae, and overtime their tales grow shorter. They then become frogs and are able to breath air. Unfortunately, little bullfrogs are the pray of many snakes and turtles. We also see bullfrogs eat their own pray, bugs and fish. The frogs then grow midsize for winter, where they are able to survive the temperatures because of their cold blooded skin. The frogs then hibernate at the bottom of the pond. Spring comes and the bullfrogs wake up very hungry. Spring comes, and the cycle of the bullfrog once again repeats itself. This book gave a good lesson on the life cycle of a frog. Each phase was discussed, but not in too deep of depth. This is a good science book for early readers as there are not too many words on each page. The illustrations compliment the text very well. sem críticas | adicionar uma crítica
