It always manages to tickle my funny bone every time I read a “for dummies” guide. I have no idea why, but this brand just seems to make you seem a lot dumber than you actually are. Yet, I have to say that each and every book I’ve read from these guys always hit the nail right on the head, and this one wouldn’t be any exception. This would be a useful guide for people who run charity groups and non-profit organizations and have run out of ideas to work with. Of course, the target markets of this book are the relative newcomers to setting up a fundraiser event. Knowing that modern society has greatly evolved to such extents, there’s absolutely no limit to the possibilities of fundraising ideas, and many of them can be found with this “For Dummies” guide. Ah yes, the ever popular means of generating revenue known as fundraising… I would definitely say that purchasing this book makes as much sense as sticking a glued-on pair of wings to a monkey and throwing it off the cliff in hopes of seeing it fly – not a whole lot. I mean, why would you even consider buying this book when you can practically look for information on fundraising over the Internet, for free too? Maybe I’m just a cynic, but the “For Dummies” brand of literature has always been something that never really helped me out. If you don’t know where to look online for any tips and pointers, then yeah, sure, buy this book, especially if you’re a newcomer. However, this isn’t something that’s worth every penny being dished out for more experienced workers. I can't believe that this book exists. It really helps a lot of beginning fundraisers. A fundraiser is hard to implement if you do not know what to do. I think this book is perfect for people who have little to no knowledge in fundraising. This book will help them become very intelligent fundraisers who can make enough money for all kinds of causes. Organizing a fundraiser can be quite challenging and difficult for a first time fundraiser. This is the main reason why this book is really a big help for teachers, coaches, community organizers, students as well as club presidents who are looking for ways to effectively raise the money that they need in order to finish a project. The tips and techniques outlined in this book will really guarantee an effective fundraising activity for you if you follow it to the letter.
