I printed this from IMSL A book plate state that Dr Mary C Hood gave it to the public library of Boston on May 29, 1917 and it is in a box. Notes are all the same diamond shape but designated FA, SO , La, FA, So , La , Mi on the staff . There are 27 pages of instruction. The GAMUT is explained. The "short scheme" for how to find the "mi". Music is on 3 staffs. Treble clef is written "gs", base is a backward c. Common and triple meter are explained. A very tidy hand wrote this music and it is very readable and playable. There is an alphbetical index of tunes. Many blank pages. No words. Just tunes. The Recommendatory Preface where in 15 people state there hope that those who use this book "Sing with Grace in their hearts and Minds attentive to the truths in the Psalms which they Sing and affected with them, for that in their Hearts they may make a Melody to the Lord". Young people are especially encouraged to "accomplish themselves with Skill to Sing the Songs of the Lord according to the rules of good Psalmody." Signers include: Cotton and Increase Mather, Nehemiah Walter, Joseph Belcher. sem críticas | adicionar uma crítica
