The good news is, it was better—slightly better—than volume 2.
The bad news is, it was only slightly better than volume 2. Azzarello seems to have lost his way a touch with this one. There are only flashes of where the story might be headed, but the bulk of the story is a side trip that didn't do much for the story, aside from providing minimal werewolfery, and a bit of a backstory for Handsome Lou's girlfriend.
So, as I said at the end of volume 2, I think I'm done with this series. There's better ones out there. This volume did nothing to change that outlook, so I really am done now. (
