I DNF'd because I hated this book and all of the characters. I do no know what everyone else read but I read trash. ( )

Oh my gawddddd!!!! This book has to be one of the best I've read this year. The big bad lawyer, the 6 children, this can be read a gazillion times over and over ! ( )

Playboy attorney Jake Becker gets the scare of his life when one of his one-night-stands tells him she has Syphilis. Even though his test comes back negative, Jake decides it might be time to get to know women before he sleeps with them. Around that same time, Jake meets Chelsea McQuaid, when his pocket gets picked by her nephew Rory. He quickly sees that Chelsea is in over her head as she tries to provide a good home for her 6 nieces and nephews after the car crash that killed their parents. With each new incident involving one of the kids, Jake gets more and more tangled in their lives, while finding himself extremely attracted to Chelsea.

Sustained is a fast paced, funny romance that also deals with serious issues surrounding a family in crisis. The story is told from Jake's point of view, giving a unique perspective on the playboy turned family man but leaves the character of Chelsea underdeveloped. The children are hilarious and add just the right tone to this entertaining read, while the supporting characters add layers to the plot. Also, the steamy scenes are well written without being overly graphic. Overall Sustained is an engaging story and a quick read. ( )

Stupendo, ancora più bello del primo, mi è piaciuto tantissimo e ho letteralmente adorato sia la storia che i tanti personaggi.
Jake, poi, rispetto al primo libro è stato una vera bellissima scoperta, un uomo che riesce a stravolgere la sua vita per amore e non solo. Altrettanto bella la figura di Chelsea, una bellissima e perfetta compagna per il sexy avvocato dal carattere e il cuore d’oro. E che dire dei sei fantastici ragazzini che si trovano coinvolti in questa vicenda?
Un libro che riserva una marea di emozioni, di tutti i generi, da leggere e rileggere, perché le storie come questa appagano la mente e il cuore.
Assolutamente imperdibile. ( )

Most of this story was told from the POV of the hero so you don't know the heroine all that well but I enjoyed the hero's journey so that was okay. This book really shone with the interactions of the supposedly selfish hero with the 6 nieces and nephews of the heroine. It was a pleasant fun outing. ( )
