Another classic story of cinderella eating the poisoned apple and then being saved by true loves kiss from the prince. I think they are good to show kids for historical purposes and to show how times have changed.

This classic Disney tale tells the story of Snow White, who escapes from her evil stepmother and befriends seven dwarfs who let her live with them. Snow White shows the beauty of friendship and taking care of those around you. Snow White takes care of the dwarfs by acting as a mother to them; she cooks, clean, and makes sure they are ready for their day. The dwarfs take care of Snow White by protecting her. I think this story shows that we can find the best friendships in the most unexpected places; like a little cabin where seven dwarfs live. ( )

This is another classic fable that holds great interest for many students because it is filled with animals, coal miners, and a prince who saves the sleeping beauty. It is a great book to use to introduce fairy tales. ( )

Summary: Snow White is a beautiful princess, who is hated by her stepmother, the evil Queen. The evil queen wants to be the fairest one in all the land, Snow White stands in her way. The Queen decides to have Snow White killed by the huntsman. The huntsman can not do it for Snow White is to kind and beautiful to be killed. Summary: A princess, Snow White, finds herself wandering in the woods where she finds a cottage, which later she finds belongs to seven dwarfs. The seven dwarves come home to find Snow White and they welcome her into their home. The evil queen realizes Snow White is alive, she turns herself into a old lady to disguise herself, and poisons Snow White. A handsome prince comes along and gives Snow White a kiss that breaks the curse.

Personal reflection: Snow White has always been my favorite princess so this book hits close to home. The images are fun for children because they are very colorful and lively.

Classroom extension: Since the dwarfs are all named after emotions, You could have the students pick a new emotion and create their own dwarf to fit that emotion.
2. You could bring in apples to have the children eat, ( )

This is the classic fairy tale of snow white and the seven dwarfs. This would be a good book to read to children because it is a classic tale that is often referenced, so reading to children would make sure they are familiar with the story. It also lets children become familiar with different moods portrayed by the seven dwarfs and they can find this book easy to relate to because every one experiences each of those moods. It also draws students in because of the touch of evil and the anticipation of what happens to snow white. The classic good triumphs over evil theme is included in this story which children and every one for the most part seem to love. ( )
