Knowing that this was starting a new series had me very excited. This book paved the way by creating a foundation of the future interconnected stories, and I am100% on board for that. These characters are true to this author's brand as is the story itself. I love how this author makes small town Montana seem like the "it" location to live. I loved Griffin and Winslow (the name took some getting used to but once she was called Win and Winnie, it was okay) and their connection. I did think that the Ranch would play more into the story but liked that it focused more on Son's job. Especially, as it isn't often you see the female character being the one in her role. Great Mystery and a nice twist at the end. The sneak peek into the next book has me really excited. I'm not sure that I've ever pre-ordered A book as fast as I did after reading it. It screams this author and I know she will do it justice. sem críticas | adicionar uma crítica

Winslow Covington believes in life, liberty and the letter of the law. As Quincy, Montana's new chief of police, she's determined to prove herself to the community and show them she didn't earn her position because her grandfather is the mayor. According to her pops, all she has to do is earn favor with the Edens. But winning over the town's founding family might have been easier if not for her one-night stand with their oldest son. In her defense, it was her first night in town and she didn't realize that the rugged and charming man who wooed her into bed was Quincy royalty. Sleeping with Griffin Eden was a huge mistake, one she's trying to forget. He's insufferable, arrogant and keeps reminding everyone that she's an outsider. Winslow does her best to avoid Griffin, but when a woman is found dead on Eden property, the two of them have no choice but to cross paths. As clues to the murderer lead to one of Quincy's own, Griffin realizes Winslow is more than he gave her credit for. Beautiful and intelligent, she proves hard to resist. For him. And the killer. Indigo Ridge is a very good small town romance with a nice mystery thrown in. The characters are well developed and the pacing is excellent. The relationship between the characters is filled with passion, however, most of the sex scenes in the book are fade to black. Clues to the mystery are parceled out throughout the story while the characters get to know each other and grow closer. The solution to the mystery was a little predictable and not necessarily satisfying, but overall, Indigo Ridge provides and enjoyable romantic suspense that is well worth the read. ( )
