In a fictitious desert kingdom, the heroine ends up being the ward of the hero, the ruler of said kingdom. There was instant chemistry between them, but the rules dictated that the guardian has to find a suitor for the ward. Even as the hero followed the rules, the pull the two felt for each other is too strong and the two succumbed and they must face the consequences of their actions.

I found the book delightful to read. There was this positive vibe throughout the book and the couple were not giving me any negative vibes. I didn't mind the tropes used in this story nor did I feel that the story needed to be longer; though my personal preference would be more details for some transition that happened in the story. Overall, an enjoyable book and I look forward to reading more Leslie North books in the future.
