This book was entertaining and the illustrations were wildly engaging and stylized, very enjoyable. However, I found the story itself hard to follow logically as it made twists and turns and overall I don't really understand it fully. A witch visits a newly crowned Tzar and warns him that if anything happens to his firebird, he will go to The Outermost Edge Of The World. Everyone imagines this place to be dark and hellish when in fact it is beautiful, which the Tzar finds out by going there. I think the overall moral is to not make assumptions, but I can't be sure.
