My husband read it first and recommended it (though it was a slightly lukewarm recommendation because he didn't like the ending). I've read some of Christie Golden's books in the past, and since I adore her writing style, I knew I'd enjoy this. And I did! I read it on the beach, and the entire time I wished I cold be home playing WoW. Great world building, very detailed. The characters were spot on, and the character growth made sense. I hope she writes more WoW books. I'll definitely buy them. (B ) ( ) For World of Warcraft players, Christie Golden does a fine job of telling the tale of what led to the formation of the Orc Horde in a mystical world called Draenor, and what drove their fall from grace to the Burning Legion. If you are a fantasy fan, but not a player of World of Warcraft, I'm not as certain that you would find this novel as clear and engrossing. If you are a player, I recommend reading this novel before leveling your character past level 60 in The Burning Crusade expansion. It really serves well as a primer for many of the story threads you will encounter while journeying through Draenor (Outland). sem críticas | adicionar uma crítica

Though the young Warchief Thrall ended the demon curse that had plagued his people for generations, the orcs still wrestle with the sins of their bloody past. As the rampaging Horde, they waged a number of devastating wars against their perennial enemy - the Alliance. Yet the rage and bloodlust that drove the orcs to destroy everything in their path nearly consumed them as well. Long ago, on the idyllic world of Draenor, the noble orc clans lived in relative peace with their enigmatic neighbors, the draenei. But the nefarious agents of the Burning Legion had other plans for both of the unsuspecting races. The demon-lord Kil'jaeden set in motion a dark chain of events that would succeed not only in eradicating the draenei, but forging the orc clans into a single, unstoppable juggernaut of hatred and destruction. An original tale of magic, warfare, and heroism based on the best-selling, award-winning electronic game series from Blizzard. Não foram encontradas descrições de bibliotecas. |
