( ) Recommended to me by Erin, thanks a bunch! ^.^ Pretty cute and I appreciated that it didn't fall to clichés or overly sappy feel good crap. Just felt realistic and honest, and really funny too! Still annoyed by the usual trap of people just refusing to talk/listen and letting that ruin their relationship, but eh. 3.5 A weekend at the beach for me means it's time to read another brainless teen romance! This one is about a fat girl coming to terms with her body and trying to make other people, from her Mom to a cute boy, accept it too. The funny thing though, is that other people have a lot less issue with her size than Willowdean herself does (so true!) The best part of the book was the friendships she makes with a crew of misfit teens from her high school and the way the author tries to make a case that cute boys who play sports can also have a sensitive and evolved side of their personality. However, I think all of that made me root for the "wrong" side of the love triangle! (Old lady perspective, I guess, had me leaning towards the cute enough nice guy over the super hot "hormones run amuck" guy!) I had both this book and the sequel Puddin' on my kindle, having purchased them ages ago on sale, so I'm going to jump right into the next one now. sem críticas | adicionar uma crítica
