Lots of history tangled with the sudden appearance of a WW2 "GooneyBird" in a calving glacier. A cameo appearance from Liam's father and a revelation from Moses to Wy complicate relationships as Liam tries to solve the murder of the mom and daughter of a longtime resident family. ( ) The last published (to date) Liam Campbell mystery; another great tale with Liam and Wy, with a decent mystery that once again shows the ripple effects of crime on small-town Alaska, while developing their own relationship. The WWII history ties were neat as well, since the Alaskan experience in that period is unknown to most people. "BtR" leaves a lot of open ends for Liam, though, so the news that a fifth Liam book is forthcoming, probably in 2010, is definitely welcome. sem críticas | adicionar uma crítica

When hunters stumble across a desiccated human hand clutching an incredibly rare coin, Liam Campbell is called in. The discovery leads him to the broken remains of a World War II-era transport plane emerging from the face of a calving glacier. For some sixty years the glacier has held its secrets close: Who was on the ill-fated flight? What were they doing? 74-year-old Lydia Tompkins might have had the answers Campbell needed, but now she's dead too...murdered in her own home. And she won't be the last to die, as once-buried secrets return to haunt the present. Não foram encontradas descrições de bibliotecas. |
