A Storm in a Teacup by Kate Pearce

Magic in a short story that is probably part of an anthology related too Keyvnor Castle and if so or if not, having read a few of those anthologies in the past I was thrilled to return to this enchanted enchanting world again!

In the past stories read in this setting there have been ghosts and romances and such but this time, though a ghost or two were seen, there were mythical creatures engaging with humans and a romance as well. A wedding brings Mr. Makepeace to Cornwall and there he becomes key to fulfilling a prophecy as he meets Malakia and gets to know her better.

I thoroughly enjoyed the fact that Hezekiah Makepeace was so much MORE than he appeared at first glance, that he was truly a good match for Malakia, and that the two just might have a glorious future together. I do wonder if perhaps he will be gifted with more than his mortal years to entertain Malakia but however many years they have together will be grand!

Thank you to the author for the ARC – This is my honest review.
