I like this book because it really shows perseverance. Peter really tries hard to be able to whistle that way his dog Willie can come to him. This book tells children to never give up on something that they want. Peter was so happy when he was able to achieve what he thought was unreal. I imagine this book is a good age range from 3-5 and having your audience try to whistle at the end would be quite funny. ( )

This story is about a boy named Peter who is playing out side and doing anything a normal child would do outside, he was coloring with chalk and running around when he heard and older boy whistle. Peter soon learned how to whistle too and from their he learned how to call his dog from a whistle so his dog Willy would come to him.
