The repetition in this book along with the colorful illustrations make a book that children will want to read over and over again. ( ![]() Whistle for Willie is about a boy named Peter who wants to learn how to wistle for his dog, Willie. He tries and tries until one day...hes got it! He wistles for Willie and is excited to see him respond. This book is about a boy named Peter who is trying to learn how to whistle. He can't seem to figure it out, but he keeps trying. The book outlines his day and the obstacles he overcomes to learn how to whistle. He wants to learn how to whistle for his dog, Willie. I like this book because it really shows perseverance. Peter really tries hard to be able to whistle that way his dog Willie can come to him. This book tells children to never give up on something that they want. Peter was so happy when he was able to achieve what he thought was unreal. I imagine this book is a good age range from 3-5 and having your audience try to whistle at the end would be quite funny. This story is about a boy named Peter who is playing out side and doing anything a normal child would do outside, he was coloring with chalk and running around when he heard and older boy whistle.
