A quaint tale with as many morals as you need. ( ) Despite remembering hardly a thing about this tale now, I think rating it four stars equates to how much I enjoyed this story when I read it countless times as a child, though I may be underrating it. I recognised this cover immediately, otherwise I would've forgotten all about this once much-read book. Reckon 1984 would be the last time I read it, but it's hard to be accurate all these years on. Recommended to anyone aged in single figures or for grown-ups feeling nostalgic. The old woman and her pig is about an old lady who goes to town to by her a pig. On their way back home, the woman and the pig came upon a stile. She asked the pig to get over the stile and when he refuses, she gets angry. She then encounters different animals and asks them to do things to the pig to make him get over the stile. The children liked this book because they knew all of the animals and read it with me as I read. They laughed at the end when the old woman enticed the cat to kill the rat by giving the cat some milk. After that, the cat chased the rat and so on. This book would be read while talking about farm animals. The children would make their own version of the book. In dramatic play, I would also have them act their story out in groups of three or four. sem críticas | adicionar uma crítica
