Several months ago, I was able to acquire a copy of this delightful NLT Bible. This is a fabulous tool and resource to in depth study of the scriptures. I would not recommend this one for short study sessions, but for when you can submit some time to really sit and delve into the scriptures and your own self. With a base of the New Living Translation of the Bible, this book is infused with notes and commentary derived from personal notes and material of Bill Bright, "a man who had a really deep, geniune friendship with God and he meant this Bible as his legacy for discipleship of believers.Within these pages reading the "My Response to God" sections as well the "Discovery verses" and other tools provided, the student can really get an essence for the nature of who God is in their life. As a tool for learning how to grow and deepen your relationship with God, this Bible is the best I have found so far. The only thing you need to add is prayer. ( )
