Fantastically useful. Great, current research on all kinds of products, with input from parents, and good/better/best recommendations for big items like strollers, carseats, and cribs as well as smaller ones like clothes, bedding, and bottles.

This is an excellent reference book for first time parents. It goes over what you need and what you could do with out. It also reviews a lot of the products out there. The only thing I didn't like about it was that you couldn't go online to get up to date reviews. I would recommend reading through this before you buy anything or do your registry. ( )

Yes, I know it is out of date in 2012, but all the newfangled things for babies haven't changed so much in three years as they have in forty, so I kept it for the concepts more than specific recommendations. But, having read about changing my life by tidying, I'm getting rid of it and will do research as needed.

This is actually a really useful book. Probably the most useful of all the baby books we got. Make sure to get the newest edition because it is updated regularly. Includes ratings of stores, brands, etc. Have recommended this to other expecting friends. Their website is also helpful. ( )
