I liked the book because I think it would engage children.
I would teach the following vocabulary words: cupboard, secretary, Amok, hypnotize, and fiasco. I would tell students who Weird Al Yankovic is. I would ask students how they think George and Harold felt when they got busted. I would ask students what blackmail is. I would show students where Antarctica is after reading p. 43.
The boys had to overcome a challenge, so I would have students determine how they responded to that challenge. I would have students write about the sequence of events in the book. They would need to introduce the characters, use dialogue and details to develop events, and provide a conclusion. ( )
