I have to admit that I had no idea what Corky was going to do about stopping "the evil," and I wasn't sure whether things would work out, whether people were really evil, if certain characters were dead, and just what was going on at the end there. I definitely think that Corky should have dumped Alex for Jay. sem críticas | adicionar uma crítica
Corky and the Shadyside cheerleaders are sure that the evil spirit is destroyed but then one horrifying accident after another keeps happening. Não foram encontradas descrições de bibliotecas. |

Just when you thought it was safe to Cheer....
Corky, Kimmy and Debra are trying to get back to a normal life. They lost friends and family to the Evil, but they've defeated it. Drowned it in the Conononka River. Lately, though, accidents have begun to happen again: girls trying out for the squad are getting injured, and horrific pranks are happening at practices and games. Has the Evil returned?
This was probably the most fun Cheerleaders book yet. The series continues to skew gruesome and I'm loving it and while I have no idea what's going on with the continuity anymore, I'm not sure I want a Shadyside without Gary Brandt showboating for the ladies. I felt bad that my personal favorite underdog cheerleader, Ronnie, has been written out of the series, but she'll probably live longer this way. Speaking of, a main character dies off-stage and that was weak. More points deducted.
Corky and the gang try an old book of magic, an ice-skating party, and sticking their heads in the sand among other means to get rid of the Evil, but you will love what does work.
The book gets bonus points for mentioning that Shadyside High has FINALLY brought in some grief counselors for students to talk to about the latest student body casualties, but loses those points for having the epic climax followed up by a dream sequence. It's a cool one, but I can't reward that kind of behavior.
