Aromatherapy An A-Z by Patricia Davis This fabulous encyclopedia is a wonderfully comprehensive compilation of over 200 conditions and 82 essential oils with illustrations, that may help these conditions. There is just so much here to absorb, and I do feel it is a great reference for those who take more of a holistic approach to bodily maintenance. This book felt so complete to me it not only had the complaint I was looking for that was easy to find and understand and especially well defined, but then also had the essential oils that would help me, the amount to use and even the manner to use them in. The International Journal of Aromatherapy called this book on of the most thoroughly researched books on the subject of aromatherapy, and I would whole heatedly agree with them. Patricia even included sections on what oils that could be dangerous for me to take and even had a section with information on where to obtain different types of oils, and step by step recipes to make skin lotions, bath oils and even mouthwash. I would recommend this wonderful desk reference for aromatherapy to anyone who has an interest in the holistic approach and it has definitely earned a respected place in my spiritual toolbox. I will probably not just sit down and read the whole thing at one sitting, When something comes up, and I get a chance to reference it, I’ll come back here to rate and review on its usefulness. Can’t have too many natural remedy books in my collection.
NOTE: Since I’ve used Helichrysum essential oil to help with a blood cot in my leg during COVID, I did read what this book had to say about the oil. It doesn’t mention blood clots at all and is very general in its uses.
