The way that he creates imagery through his writing is absolutely brilliant. A must read for all lovers of Batman like myself The main problem I had with this book was the obvious lack of editing; there were numerous spelling, grammatical, and phrase errors. It looked like it had been rushed to press without ever having been read through before being printed. I'm not a huge fan of Batman; in fact, I pretty much hated Batman in the latest movie. I didn't really care for the Joker, either. I love Harvey Dent, though, and that's why I decided to read the book. From that standpoint, I wasn't disappointed. Harvey's character is more developed in this book, which adds some insight to his character and motivations. The rest of the book was mediocre. The author spent too much time in the first few chapters talking about things that really, in the general scheme of things, didn't affect the current story. As I said, I'm not a huge Batman fan, so I don't need to know the minutia of his life before he became Batman. It really doesn't interest me, and it dragged on and on in this book. Most of the information in the first few chapters could have either been left out or condensed to a few pages. The latter part of the book, on the other hand, felt rushed. There were scenes that were squashed into a mere paragraph or two, and there were entire scenes that I felt were rather important that were completely missing. It was worth it to me to read the book because I needed a Harvey fix, but I really wouldn't recommend it as essential reading to anyone. 'The Dark Knight', both the movie and book, were fantastic. I loved them both. It was a very fast read for me, only took a few days. My overall favorite character was, of course, the Joker. By the way, Heath Ledger was great as the Joker. The Joker just made it....funny and entertaining. I just wish there was more parts with him. Yes, I would recommend it. The book is mostly like the book. I think there is a few things that is different, or that I just don't remember. Not really sure how to describe this book besides a fight between good and evil. Batman is trying to save Gotham from the Joker. That's just about it. There not much to say unless I want to ruin the whole book. So, how about you find out, for yourself, what tricks the Joker has. sem críticas | adicionar uma crítica

Allied with both the police department and the district attorney's office, the vigilante known as Batman continues to bring justice and hope to Gotham City. But one man dares to mock Batman's mission. A man with a twisted sense of humor. A man whose grotesque smile is reflected on the calling card he leaves at the scene of his crimes: The Joker.
