Liverwurst, the main attraction at the traveling circus, is missing. The whole entire town follows a mushroom trail in search of him. He was being held captive in a restaurant owner's basement. Liverwurst's mother flies in by parachute to save the day.

On about the third page of this book, I got completely lost and had to stop reading because it was so frustrating/hard to keep up with! This book was WAY too detailed, and I definitely don't think it would be a good idea to read this out loud in a classroom. The children would become rapidly disengaged and confused!
