Has lots of points about the business tips that you could get from Jobs, but occasionally contradicted himself. ( ) ?Throughout his storied Silicon Valley career, Apple CEO and Pixar Studios founder Steve Jobs has been labeled, among other things, an egomaniac, a Zen Buddhist, a business mastermind, a sociopath and a music mogul. Blogger, author and Wired News editor Kahney, who has chronicled Apple in previous books (The Cult of Mac), attempts to plumb the depths of Jobs's prodigious mind in this engrossing biography. The author devotes much time to the sensational aspects of Jobs? life, including his demeaning and ferocious interactions with employees, his relentless high-mindedness and fanatical attention to detail, clearly demonstrating how his tyrannical and perfectionist impulses have have shaped the award-winning designs and consumer-friendly products that have made Apple a juggernaut. Though it doesn?t penetrate the Mac man's psyche too deeply, and sections on tangential figures like Apple design guru Jonathan Ive and Apple Store visionary Ron Johnson can meander, those searching for a telli Leander Kahney achieved something very few writers did when talking about master Steve Jobs: he was impartial to his stormy temperament while exploring the greatness behind the methods used by such a genius leader and "followers-maker" through its very concise chapters with a "most important points' recall" in form of lists by the end of each one. This is the one book about Steve Jobs you wanna read if you have to chose only one and it's a must-read for anyone interested on improving his/her professional life and the way you deal with the world. You will understand why he was taken as a genius leader, a revolutionary futurist thinker and why you should learn from his methods. "Inside Steve's Brain" is my supreme bedside bible. I keep it along Machiavelli's "The Prince" and Zhuge Liang's "Art of War"! Just as every methodically designed and powerful speech made by Steve Jobs gave me deep enlightenment through my whole life, about various things... Kahney's book is a fast-reading reminder of what's important for me as a professional... and as a person too, because citing the Master himself: "If you're working on something exciting that you really care about, you don't need to be pushed: THE VISION PULLS YOU!" (Steve Jobs) Interesting book about Steve Jobs. Partly a biography, but mostly a kind of guide book to how Steve Jobs did business at Apple. Chapters are based on character traits, such as perfectionism, elitism, passion, and describe how it applies to Apple with a good dose of anecdote thrown in, and 'Lessons from Steve' as a summary at the end of each chapter. Kahney is clearly a big fan and it's a very readable, informative book, though i think written without any real access to Steve Jobs. sem críticas | adicionar uma crítica
