MY THOUGHTS ON THIS BIBLE

I had never heard of the Abide Bible until I received this one from Momentum. To say I love it so much is really not adequate to describe it. It is absolutely beautiful, inside and out. I have been using this one for a while, and will continue to use it. It is the New English Translation from Thomas Nelson Publishers. This is the first Bible I have of the NET.

There are so many features in this study Bible to make studying the Bible so much easier because the plan is laid out one the pages throughout this Bible. I just love all of the features. This Bible has it all organized so beautifully that it will be easy to study a lot of different things.

A feature I found was amazing is the introduction to each Book of the Bible. I know all study Bibles have these, but this Bible went an extra mile and added more detail and of course it’s all different from other Bibles. I love that I have several pages to read before I read each Book, and these pages tell me so much about the Book and its history.

If you are looking for a new Bible, or maybe you want to try a new translation, Give this Abide Bible a try. This one is The New English Translation. I find this translation to be a little different, and I spent much time comparing verses. I enjoyed doing that because a gew words are changed, or maybe a new phrase, so it’s nice to have another translation to help understand what the Bible is saying. I’m giving The Abide Bible Five Stars, but it deserves so much more.

The NET, Abide Bible is a stunning devotional Bible. The NET (New English Translation) is easy to understand, the Comfort Print typeface is easy to read, and the devotional and journaling aspects are so stimulating.

I love the single-column Scripture text, and the devotional sidenotes are engaging. They motivate me to dig deeper and help me prepare my heart as I pray, reflect, meditate, contemplate, and journal my way through God’s Word. The artwork pages are impressive and a nice addition I don’t always see in a Bible.

The decorated Leathersoft cover design is not only pretty, but it’s very flexible and comfortable in my hands with a lay-flat design. And its always a plus when a Bible comes with an attached satin ribbon bookmark—and this one includes two!

God tells us to abide (remain) in Him and the design of this Bible certainly helps us to do just that. Especially with the included 365-day Reading Plan that easily guides you through the Bible in a year. I’ve done a one-year reading plan before and it’s such an edifying and rewarding accomplishment. And this plan helps you experience God’s Word in a whole new way! Just as Dr. Phil Collins states in the 21 days in John guide, it’s not just a read-through…it’s a “Scripture Engagement Experience.”

In all honesty, I don’t think I’ve ever owned a more stunning or engaging Bible.

As with any version of the Bible the message is the most important, awesome, and truthful in the universe and you never finish reading it. This version has huge amounts of translation, cross reference and study notes in the version. There are several high quality maps in the back that are useful. All this adds up the page count and weight so smaller persons may use it more for a study and less fan everyday walk around copy. ( )

I'm not an expert, but this Bible has gotten good reviews as far as the translation itself goes. The only reason I took off a 1 star is because the binding isn't very good....when open, the pages don't lay flat on the inside near the binding (they wrinkle up where I assume they're sewn together). It doesn't affect the readability, it's just annoying. Other than that, a great Bible to have. ( )
