The name jar is the story about Unhei who starts her new school in America believing she must come up with a new name that her classmates will be able to pronounce. While trying to choose a new name she creates a name jar full of different options but none of them seem to feel right. When a classmate goes to her house and discovers her given name and the special meaning behind it Unhei is encouraged to keep her given name. This is a cute first day of school story that is great for promoting acceptance and inclusion. I really loved this book because I feel like it will teach all students to love and accept who they are and where they come from. In the book the main character goes from being ashamed of her name because it is different to loving her name and essentially "choosing" her name and embracing it. So beautiful and does an amazing job at showcasing cultural appreciation. sem críticas | adicionar uma crítica
