It is far more personal than police procedural. It does introduce many of the principal characters who appear in this series. It is also a love story that fails because the hero is a police officer. Griffin is at his best when he creates new characters and introduces them. He also has some pretty clear insights into the operations of the upper echelons of some police department which might be Philadelphia. He seems to have a cab driver's knowledge of getting around Philly. Staff Inspector is very interesting person but he will be supplanted by a much younger man as the series progresses. The series is about the City of Philadelphia police force, including the Philadelphia Highway Patrol, from the cop on the beat, right up to the Commissioner. Given the date it was published, you can see how much change has happened and what has stayed the same, regarding police work. Highly recommend the series. sem crÃticas | adicionar uma crÃtica
