It delves more deeply into the actual dragonlore and has much highers stakes than Book One, which revolved around the comings and goings of squirrels. Because of that, I also found the portrayal of our main character to be more believable, as he has better reason to be invested in the plot; I didn't completely believe it when he seemed to make his whole life revolve around a couple of neighborhood squirrels before. The one thing that I really didn't like about this book was the bias that David felt against Zanna, a goth girl who goes to school with him. He seemed very repulsed by her goth-ness at first. Though he does start to get over it the longer he gets to know her, it just seemed to be much stronger than it needed to be, and as someone who personally really likes that style, it irked me. I was also mildly concerned about a scene at the end of the book I was also a little annoyed with the way that the concept of relationships were handled in this story. I have not yet read this book. David is mad that his book didn't get published and Lucy mad G'reth a wishing dragon. Liz offers to help David to drive him to the campus where he meets Dr. Bergstrom. Dr. Berstrom gives David a talisman and David watches Gadzooks write "Lorel". David also won a trip to the arctic and invites a girl named Zanna a Gothic kind of girl. Zanna later becomes a sybil and gets the mark of Oomara. Zanna also quickens an egg mad by Liz and names the dragon that hatched out Grockle. I honestly love this book. Its apart of the Last Dragon Chronicles which has 7 novels. This is my favorite series so far and i hope that everyone would Love It. Whats special about these books is that they have a hint of suspense at the end of the book. So you could look forward to the next book to come at your local library. This book is the 2th book of the 7 book series. Everyone should read this series. Icefire Is a great book. I thought that Icefire definitely had more adventure then The Fire Within did. I liked that though. Icefire is a good book for 8-12 year old. I hope you enjoy this book if you do read it! sem críticas | adicionar uma crítica
