The story is colorful, with repeating phrases, animals to find and identify, children to count, and a different kind of hat to spy. There is plenty action on the pages about which to talk as the story proceeds, The book is a bit scary, but not too scary. Everyone will be happy by the end of the book. This book isn't of such great quality as far as multicultural books go. It's a pretty easy read, but it's essentially just a version of "We're Going on a Bear Hunt" set in Africa. There's not a lot in the way of plot. It doesn't teach a lesson, it doesn't tell a story, it's just a fun, quick read. Good for early readers and practice. Author: Margery Cuyler Title: We're Going on a Lion Hunt Illustrator: Joe Mathieu Publisher: Marshall Cavendish Corporation 2008 23 pages Literary Genre: Picture Book Summary: A class of kindergarteners set out to find a lion, going through mud, tall grass, climbing trees, and other obstacles before they find the lion inside a cave. They are would excited to see the next page to see if they found the lion yet. sem críticas | adicionar uma crítica
