A humorous retelling of the classic story recounts the fatal episodes in the lives of two foolish pigs and how the third pig managed to avoid the same fate. this book is simply a retelling of the classic story, the three little pigs. there are some slight differences in this book too the classic, but overall it is a great retelling. I recommend this book for the classroom because it can show you life lessons about people who bother you and how to face an issue head on rather than avoid it altogether This book would be used as an interactive read aloud for students grades K - 2. Students in 1st and second grade could create their own comic strips of the story. Students would draw their own scenes and underneath give a breif dscription of what is happening in the scene. They could also include dialogue between the characters as it is found in the actual book. This would allow children to practice sequential order within in a story and learn how to visually represent and sumarize events within a story. Students could perform an experirement where they breka up into three small groups and attempt to build a small sized block made out of straw, sticks, and leggos. At the end, the students would blow and see if their houses had the same fate as those in the book, etc. Students could also research pigs and wolves and their relationship. They could then create posters displaying the facts that they learned about these animals. I would use this book as an interactive read aloud for a 5th grade class because it is a little more complex for younger grades and theft that the wold ate the first two pigs I feel that the book would be better for older grades. I would use this book as an interactive read-aloud because it is a story that most kids know but with a twist and this is a fun book for students to make their own predictions and to ask questions. I would use this book to teach determination or perseverance because the pig that was able to out smart the wolf shows that in the story. I would use this book to teach cause and effect to show that the decisions you make determine the outcome you are going to get. The third pig that thoughtfully made his house did not get eaten where as the pigs who did not think out and chose the easy way were eaten. I would also use this book for retelling, students will be able to retell what happened in the story which is different than the original story. sem críticas | adicionar uma crítica
