We have so much fun with this book. The 4-year-old gets into the action and likes to pretend that he's a T-Rex. The art is just perfect not too cutesy and just cartoony enough that you can't help but imagine this huge animal trying to do his bedtime rituals with you. The entire series is fun and I love just about everything that Jane Yolen writes. ( )

This story is a great rhyming story about what dinosaurs do at bedtime. It is a great way to teach preschool age children about how they should act when their parents tell them it is bedtime in a very fun and full of humor way. It also is a great way to teach about the different kinds of dinosaurs in a very simplistic way and the dinosaurs name is written out somewhere on the page. In the end it teaches that we all including dinosaurs have pretty much the same bedtime routine.
