This one was just so-so, and the hijinks at the end were kind of awful. This book begins so well and has a wonderful, thoroughly enjoyable middle. And an ending that almost made me toss the book aside. If I hadn't enjoyed the first two-thirds of the book so much, I'm not sure I would have made it through. The ending was everything I hate in a romance novel--a contrived conflict that makes no earthly sense; a heroine determined to believe herself unloved despite all evidence to the contrary, who won't just SAY what she's thinking; and meddling family members determined to orchestrate a ridiculous spectacle. God. I am so damn unhappy about the ending. It went from a 5-star book to 3-stars because of the ending alone. sem crÃticas | adicionar uma crÃtica

Annabel has been impoverished, so she wants a rich husband. In the previous novel, she came off as a bit shallow for this, but Kiss Me, Annabel really explores her character in all of its shades and depths. For his part, the Earl of Ardmore starts out as idealistic about marriage, but his journey helps him to fall truly and deeply in love. It's just so romantic. Highly recommend this novel. ( )
