Ainda não há conversas na Discussão sobre este livro. 50 months - Uses photographs of pandas at the reserve to describe baby pandas and how they are raised. We had a good conversation about endangered species and how zoos and such are trying to save and repopulate species. We really enjoyed this book... not to mention baby pandas are just too darn cute!!!! This was a non-fiction picture book about pandas. It was informative and I would recommend it for everyone! It would be great for kindergarten students to do a shared reading because it may be easy to relate to it with the word kindergarten in the name of the book. It had many pictures of the adorable pandas, which I loved. The book also went into specific details about how pandas live. For example, the book talks about playtime and says "pandas always find new ways to play, like tugging and tearing, and touching their toes. To a panda cub, almost anything can be a toy." I recommend it to animal lovers, kindergarteners, panda enthusiasts, and anyone who wants to learn more in a fun and exciting way.
The text is not as clear as it might be, but next to many images of baby pandas playing, eating and weighing in on a tiny scale, it hardly matters.
School is in session! But this is no ordinary kindergarten class. Meet sixteen young giant panda cubs at the China Conservation and Research Center for the Giant Panda at the Wolong Nature Preserve. The cubs are raised together from infancy in a protected setting, where they grow strong. Under the watchful eyes of the scientists and workers, the cubs learn skills that will help prepare them to be released into the wild. Não foram encontradas descrições de bibliotecas. |

This book is the most adorable book that I have ever read in regards to reading about science.
Did you know that most pandas are born with twins, but in the wild the momma panda can only care for one panda at a time? The neglected panda usually dies from lack of food and protection.
This is main reason that scientist opened a panda daycare. The panda's are cared for much like human children are and if a panda has two cubs the scientist will rotate visiting time wih the momma panda between the two cubs.
I think children would love this book. ( )
