This story is very descriptive and has many opportunities for closed eye visualization. It tells the story of a turtle on her journey through the ocean and the many animals she encounters. ( )

I was fortunate enough to be able to read this book to elementary students during my practicum. The beautifully down pictures help in bringing the story to life. The repetitive..."Turtle, Turtle, Watch Out!" allows students to actively participate in the reading. Lastly, the informative story-telling of how humans are helping sea turtles, educates students on the importance of humans playing an active role in protecting sea turtles.
