In addition, I'm thankful for the portrayal of a part of American history we are generally taught nothing about. It certainly helps flesh out the appeal of the socialist agenda in a way that's instructive and helpful. ( ![]() Good solid YA story with some good teachings about morals and values Good solid YA story with some good teachings about morals and values Esperanza, a young girl who lives in Mexico and has a very wealthy life, as her life turns to chaos her and her mother have to flee to California for a new life where they go to a Mexican camp and become farm workers. This is all happening during the Great Depression and it makes Esperanza very worried about having a life without money and has to do the hard labor to get by. This is a very good book to implement into the classroom because it deals with hardships and money and it is a great way to talk about the things that are hard through a book. Esperanza is a relatable character because a lot of people do go through times where they are making the money and have the life, they need but then go through some setbacks. This book is very heartfelt and relatable to read to the class. Tem um guia de estudo para estudantesTem um guia para professores
