A fun and exciting trade book that isn't just a slumber party. It is Jane's birthday and she's having a slumber party with her friends and family. It's a night filled with games, a frog, a lost mouse, barely any sleep, and tons of fun! The illustrations is in this book is amazing. Its water color like drawing and are very detailed. In this book there are small pictures of the individuals doing their own thing and the text will describe what they were doing. Teachers can use this book as a fun activity to do with their students. Birthday parties and slumber parties are two very common things that go together. So, they could use it in the classroom to describe some student’s experience of slumber parties with friends. I loved how this book was all over the place though. Each one of Jane's friend had a unique and different personality so it was interesting to see how they go along and bonded with one another. ( )
