I skimmed this book because it's language is far more complex than it should be for a personal finance book. Some concepts are sound and practical but I feel like I missed a huge part of the essence of the book just because I didn't like the author's writing style. ( ![]() Absolutely perfect. If you've never thought about your personal finances before, this will take you from 0 to 1. Simple, timeless concepts like "paying yourself" are explored, and rates of paying down debt. Just get it, it's a quick read and will change your outlook on living paycheck to paycheck. It was a nice, short read that concisely summarizes a lot of other financial books I've read. I highly recommend it to anyone interested in fixing their financial situation. Fascinating book about personal finance and the habits of babylonians. It offers great principles and tactics how to get and stay out of debt, how to save, and how to invest. I would declare this a must-read in schools. The richest man in Babylon talks about how to control money and how to build up wealth. In the story, it talks about how people easily get into debt because they want to buy stuff that they can't afford. The story also states why the rich get richer and the poor stay poorer. The reason the rich get richer because they have more knowledge on how to manage their money better than poor people. Also, you're not wealthy if you've won the lottery. The reason I say this is because most lottery winners are just going to waste the money. Since they can't possibly get that money back that they already spent. As well the story talks about money affecting kids as well. An adult could have a 3.6 Gpa and still might get into the school he wants. This could cause adults to commit suicide. Another effect could be divorced, money problems are the main reasons for divorces. The 7 simple rules to making money are, Save money, don't spend more than you need, invest wisely, avoid investmenst that sound good to be true, invest in your own home, protect yourself with life insurance, and strive to become wiser. I really like this story because, sem críticas | adicionar uma crítica
